This position is responsible for making and serving nutritious meals for students in a safe and healthful manner. Service daily hot lunch line to ensure compliance with portioning, plate presentation and quality guidelines. Determine time and sequence of cooking operations to meet meal serving deadlines (e.g., breakfast, lunch, satellite). Batch cooking is required. Do not cook product for entire day service at once. Prepare and submit food and paper orders according to menu and production logs Perform temperature checks during meal period to ensure food is being served hot. Log results in temperature log. Follows assigned break schedules. Follow sanitation requirements according to state, federal or local safe food handling and as prescribed by manager. Assist in implementation and follow-up of sanitation cleaning schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment. Prepare and update Production records and temperature logs. When applicable, assist with production required / assigned throughout kitchen. Complies with all requirements of the mandated food handling certification requirements Attend weekly kitchen meetings held by head chef or manager. Summary The incumbent is the full alter ego of the Coach performing the duties of that position in the absence of the Coach or sharing those responsibilities on a daily basis. This includes ensuring the continuity of team supervision. This position is the assistant supervisor of one of the teams located within the Veterans Service Center, BEST Division, or Pension Management Center (PMC). Responsibilities The Supervisory Veterans Service Representative (Assistant Coach) is an integral part of VSC, BEST, or PMC supervisory team. Performs the duties of the Team Coach in his/her absence and shares in those responsibilities on a daily basis. Ensures that the team\'s quality and timeliness of service meets performance indicator goals. Responsible for the cost-effective use of resources to accomplish the team\'s assigned outcomes. Gathers, interprets, and recommends appropriate action based on a wide range of data addressing service concerns. Analyzes and interprets laws, rules and regulations and their effect on the establishment of new policies, procedures, and/or methods of operation. Monitor leave balances, approve/deny leave, and certify timecards. Run production and workload reports. Communicate with senior management.
