Essential FunctionsProcess incoming hardware and software purchase requestsCreate purchase orders and approve vendor invoicesIntake of new equipment, including documentation and affixing City asset tagsComplete inventory transfer forms to ensure assets are assigned to designated custodiansAnnual completion of Class 400 Inventory Report distributed to the unitGeneral administrative tasks, such as maintaining accurate records of the departmental budgetEstablish and maintain working relationships with associates, administrative officials, and departmental officials within City governmentMaintain positive relationships with vendorsDocument current processes and ensure documents are up to dateCompetencies, Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to evaluate the effectiveness of administrative functions and implement changes to provide for more effective and efficient operationsBasic understanding of administrative procedures and philosophies for local governmentProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and AccessMust be able to work in a confidential work environmentCapable of working independently or in a teamAbility to think critically and identify solutions to complex administrative and operational challengesManage multiple tasks and deadline goals with/without supervision in a dynamic environmentCollaborate with different teams and develop working relationshipsHighly detail-oriented and organizedAbility to exercise sound and independent judgmentAbility to lift at least 50 pounds
