Description We are in search of a Java Developer (Web Services, Spring, RESTful) III to join our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role will primarily involve designing, developing, and implementing web-based Java applications to fulfill business requirements. You will be working in a dynamic environment where your expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and RESTful web services will be highly valued.Responsibilities: Design, develop and implement web-based Java applications to support business objectives, following approved life cycle methodologies. Create design documents, perform program coding, and conduct testing to ensure the efficiency of the applications. Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Plan and accomplish goals based on experience and judgment. Contribute to the design and development of high-quality software for large scale Java/Spring Batch/Hadoop distributed systems. Perform unit and system testing of application code, as well as execute implementation activities. Analyze business requirements and create technical design documents compliant with the architecture standards. Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved by designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, maintaining, and modifying computer programs of high complexity, significance, and risk. Perform and/or lead design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions, developing basic and detailed program specifications. This role will offer a long-term contract employment opportunity. Requirements Proficient in Java programming language and related tools Proficiency in Web Services, Spring, and RESTful methodologies Experience with SQL and database management Familiarity with GitHub and Jenkins for version control Ability to work with Sprint and Spring Frameworks Proficiency in coding, implementation, and documentation Knowledge in JSON for web-based applications Ability to conduct research and planning for project development Strong skills in problem-solving technical issues Experience in creating business requirement documents and specifications Understanding of computer sciences and related technologies Ability to provide workstation support Proficiency in scaling out web-based applications Excellent communication skills for coordination and team collaboration Must have a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
