Job Summary
The Direct Mail (DM) Senior Analyst role will be responsible for the planning, execution and analysis of direct marketing campaigns and design of direct marketing tests. This individual will be expected to analyze and interpret results and communicate recommendations to various levels of Division & Company leadership. The role will present opportunities to inform key business decisions for Direct Mail. We seek a candidate who is able to translate results into actionable recommendations. Position is responsible for managing the development and design of the results reporting framework, establish cadence of knowledge sharing with internal & Divison partners, and determine how to leverage the insights to drive meaningful business growth. The ideal candidate is a driven performer with experience in developing direct marketing communications programs and initiatives. The candidate should also have significant experience managing and executing campaigns, gathering inputs from multiple stakeholders and providing critical thinking to optimize results. The individual needs to have a strong background driving ROI, with both a creative eye and deep executional experience.
Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Supporting the planning and execution of DM marketing campaign metrics
  • Track and analyze DM performance; summarize data into user friendly reports and recommendations
  • Drive learnings through the using of data with ability to share and distribute learnings
  • Lead the design, build and execution of test models. Develop and design test & learn principles with clear metrics to assess effectiveness of direct marketing campaigns
  • Contribute to direct marketing testing roadmap by proposing testing opportunities. Plan and design in-season and long-term testing strategies
  • Utilize various tools to identify statistically significant performance and key drivers
  • Work with Database and Analytics teams on data hygiene and customer segmentation
  • Develop analysis that help understanding direct marketing patterns, identify differences among customer groups and recognize opportunities for improvement
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams to understand business goals, develop models, statistical analysis, data reports and performance metrics
  • Coordinates and leads the design and copywriting of marketing communication materials including direct mail, brochures, web content, sales letters, flyers, newsletters, newspaper, radio and TV advertising and other projects.
  • Maintains the Company's brand identity standards and ensures ongoing brand awareness and consistency in all creative materials.
  • Works with internal resources to determine best targeting practices for various advertising tactics.
  • Oversees marketing library which includes marketing plans, collateral, creatives and promotional materials.
  • Oversees work of outside vendors to assure timely and accurate project completion.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of internal Marketing Communications plans. Conducts research for implementation of media plans.
  • Creates media schedules and manages copy rotation.
  • Monitor budget for campaigns.
  • Coordinates multiple priorities while meeting simultaneous deadlines.
  • Follows through to ensure that deadlines are met and deliverables meet specifications.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Additional Requirements

  • 3 -6 years + experience with marketing analytics and test design & analysis
  • Bachelor's degree or above in business, statistics, finance, economics or related field
  • Strong experience with data analysis
  • Experience in media planning or marketing campaign execution
  • Direct marketing experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strong aptitude with numbers
  • Makes decisions with limited information . A ble to synthesize large quantities of data to drive business decisions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills: concisely presents complex information and recommendations in terms meaningful to various audiences
  • Builds collaborative partnerships cross-functionally; identifies/influences critical stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented, self - starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and embraces innovation
  • Shows sound judgement with regards to strategy and creative , insights & data
  • Fundamental understanding of direct marketing, direct mail and marketing best practices
  • Easily adapts to change
  • Strong writing skills , especially for results reporting summaries
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting , providing creative feedback , driving result summaries
  • Eye for detail and the ability to ensure projects of any scale are delivered on time including initiatives involving multiple stakeholders
