Description:
  • Expert level Technical Program/Project Manager, a strong leader and hands-on doer responsible for managing the planning, execution, monitoring and control of multiple complex, high-visibility engineering projects/programs for the Mobile, Retail, and/or Convergence teams. Proven and experienced Scrum Master, well-versed in Agile framework and Scrum principles with a track record of successfully leading teams to implement complex features and/or launch new solutions.
  • This is a challenging, fast-paced environment requiring the role to facilitate cooperation of leads from numerous cross-functional teams/organizations to define, design, build, test and implement solutions. Each program has a roadmap of numerous projects (or workstreams) with target delivery dates, requiring constant communication with executive leadership on program progress towards targeted delivery dates.
  • The individual will be leading a cross-functional project. This will include being responsible for the overall planning, scope management, sequencing and coordination of deliverables across multiple scrum teams; tracking progress to plan and communicating status through to production release. The individual will be responsible for organizing and running productive team meetings and to be a central point of contact for status and updates on the project activities/statetc.
  • The individual needs to have great communication and facilitation skills. Meaning, they will be required to lead in-depth, interactive and detailed conversations (meetings) with representatives of multiple teams providing multiple inputs. As we look for Project Management soft skills, this individual needs to be solid at facilitating effective meetings and conversations – defining action items with owners and dates, and not reserved about ensuring accountability with the owners, keeping teams on track and driving issues and blockers to resolution. They should possess a sense of drive and motivation for the project to be successful, with a sense of urgency when warranted.

Requirements:
  • Produce PMP artifacts required to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control program/project implementation. Artifacts minimally include: SharePoint site for each program, program/project charter, program roadmap, Microsoft project, resource plans and Gantt charts, status reports, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), Decision Logs, other Jira or Tableau views, dashboards or reports as applicable etc.
  • For this role, it is critical to understand how Mobile Team applies agile scrum principles and balance that with the benefits of more traditional project management practices particuarly where 3rd parties may be contributing to a capability or feature. This role may have to participate or attend: application scrum team ceremonies, feature scrum team ceremonies, scrum of scrum meetings, intake deliverable schedule meetings, engineering release train meetings, release meetings, etc.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional team leaders and team members, including but not limited to: Development, Quality Assurance, Release Management, Architecture, System/solution Design, User Experience Design, Operational Requirements Leader, Technical Business Analysts, Product Owners, Program Management Office, XM Engineering Services.
  • Partner with Release Train Engineer, Scrum Masters, Technical Leads, QA Leads, and Release Leads to ensure that sprint delivery plans are defined and executed to meet the targeted program delivery dates.
