Responsibilities and Duties
The Line Server is responsible for dealing directly with the Student/Customer in a prompt courteous and professional manner. The Line Server maintains the highest levels of sanitation and portion control at all times. The Line Server is responsible for the preparation of appropriate quantities of food needed to meet any requirements in a timely manner. He/ She is responsible for the preparation of food for the cafeteria. May assist or be requested to work with the Chef on special events.
Qualifications and Skills
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) must have 3 to 5 years training and experience in quantity food preparation. Must be knowledgeable in proper cooking methods, and temperatures for best utilization. Must be able to read and communicate in English fluently. Must be able to estimate quantities of food needed, read and follow standardized recipes, write and fill out productions sheets, Must be knowledgeable in all state and County requirements of sanitation and proper food handling and preparation. Able to lift pans, pots, and food items up to 50 pounds is an essential function of this job.
