Now Hiring Custodial Staff for Halloween Nights at Eastern State Penitentiary (September 7 to November 13)
Our Custodial Staff are in charge of keeping the site looking professional and clean. They operate outside of the haunted attractions, mostly focusing on the outdoor dining areas and Speakeasy lounge. Custodial Staff must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work independently. Examples of responsibilities would include sweeping, breaking down cardboard boxes, routinely taking out garbage and recycling, and other duties as assigned.
Seasonal Part-Time Custodial Services staff are responsible for ensuring that areas are clean, picking up garbage and creating a positive and engaging experience for each and every visitor to Halloween Nights. They maintain a clean and professional work environment.
Other responsibilities include working cohesively with Security and other departments in keeping guests safe from any potential safety hazards. Please note that Eastern State Penitentiary is a ruin and working conditions are not always ideal. Custodial staff work both inside the penitentiary and may spend a significant portion of their workday in outdoor conditions.

About Seasonal Employment at ESPHS:
Positions are seasonal and part-time (minimum of three days per week), beginning in September for training and ending the 2nd week of November. Applicants must be available for weekday and weekend shifts (times vary from 4 pm to 12am and can be as late as 2 am);
Hourly rate is $15.00/hr.
