Job Summary:
Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks and improvement of facilities,
and service equipment. Responsible for sanitation control, building safety and security and
cleaning. The Maintenance/Janitorial shall serve under the direct supervision of the
Maintenance Supervisor and the indirect supervision of the Facilities Coordinator.
Essential functions:
1. Perform minor repairs such as plumbing, carpentry, heating, electrical and roofing.
2. Monitor operations of the building’s systems
3. Assist with rental properties repair and maintenance
4. Move furniture, relocate and reconfigure offices, and set-up for events.
5. Perform cleaning and janitorial duties, included but not limited to office, restrooms,
classrooms, exterior cleaning and ground keeping.
6. Assures sidewalks, parking lot and dock area are clean and safe for pedestrians and free
from debris.
7. Assist with landscaping, ground keeping and snow removal.
8. Must be available to work weekends and after-hours
9. Respond to work in the event of an emergency or snowfall.
10. Perform other duties as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Satisfactory work record and attendance.
2. 2-3 years of facilities maintenance experience.
3. Valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
4. Physically able to lift up to 50lb, bend, stoop, climb and reach.
5. Ability to work independently and in a team.
6. Self-motivated, attention to details and pleasant customer service skills are a must.
7. Familiar with a wide variety of mechanical tools.
8. Availability to work an on-call schedule is required, as well as weekend coverage.
9. Communicate efficiently. (Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred)
10. Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
Salary: $16.00 hourly
Hours: 3pm to 11:30pm (30 minutes for lunch unpaid)
Must be must available to work weekends.
