Reports directly to: Build Project Manager
Department: Build; non-exempt
Hours: Full time (40 hrs/wk) and part time positions (24-32 hrs/wk) are available
Term: Permanent and temporary positions are available
Full-time work week: Monday- Friday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm with expectation to work a Tuesday- Saturday schedule once a month
Part-time work week: 24- 32 hours per week/ 3-4 8hr work days
Required meetings: Monthly all- staff meeting, weekly departmental meeting
Drivers License: Required for permanent full time employment, preferred for those on a part time or temporary employment
Personal vehicle: Preferred
Personal tools: Basic Carpentry Hand Tools

The BUILD Department directly improves the living conditions of low-income families by creating safe, healthy, affordable dwellings through: the construction of new multi- and single-unit new housing, whole house rehab projects, and owner-occupied home repair work.
Position overview
Perform onsite construction tasks necessary for completing new construction, rehab, and owner-occupied residential repair projects; perform technical carpentry repairs while working with key HFHP staff, subcontractors and homeowners; effectively utilize the labor and enthusiasm of Habitat’s volunteer workforce; uphold HFHP’s quality and safety standards; work as a community partner; and promote Habitat’s mission to eliminate substandard housing and revitalize neighborhoods.

Physical Requirements to Perform Duties:
Ability to perform all construction duties, such as: lifting up to 80 lbs, climbing extension ladders and scaffolding; working in unconditioned workspaces in the heat of summer and cold of winter

Hourly rate is based on experience and demonstrated skill level
