Six Fishes is a bustling, inclusive acupuncture practice that relies on our warmth and expertise to create tailored wellness plans to support the health and wellbeing of Philadelphia's diverse community. We are seeking a part time administrative assistance to join our team.

Duties include reception, scheduling, inventory, cleaning, and other forms of assistance to the patients and clinical staff. You should be professional, detail-oriented, open to learning, and seeking a workplace you can take tremendous pride in. An applicant should be friendly, attentive and proactive, able to learn applications, and skilled at talking on the phone and answering questions.

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome patients You will coordinate front-desk activities, including verifying insurance, collecting payments and copayments, answering phone and emails, scheduling patients.

As an ambassador for the practice, you should have a warm personality, as this is also a customer service role. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus.

You should be:

Passionate about wellness - not just in the instagram sense of wellness but in health based approaches.

Technically adept - practice is fully electronic and uses Janeapp EHR, basecamp, instagram, mailchimp and google suite

Articulate - able to communicate well both with staff and outside the company within the medical and wellness world.

Discrete: This is a medical practice and complying with HIPAA essential.

Fully vaccinated - we are a science forward complementary medicine practice.

Job Type: Approximately 35 hours weekly with the possibility of expansion of hourssd

Pay starts at $15 an hour with raises expected after the first 6 months of employment

Schedule can be flexible with one weekend day is required.

Our offices are operating under the CDC guidelines for healthcare facilities which includes mask wearing while in the office and interacting with patients.

We have two locations,

2308 Grays Ferry Ave - Grays Ferry Ave converges on 23rd street between south and bainbridge

and 750 s 15th street - right below Fitzwater

The position is primarily at our Grays ferry location but a shift or two at our 15th street office is possible
