We are currently seeking a qualified Small Work & Punch List Carpenter to join our growing team!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Facilitate the completion of projects by joining the project team towards the end of the project schedule. Help with final punch out including, but not limited to, finish trim, hardware install, accessories install, clean up, spackle or paint touch ups, straightening and organizing, removing materials from the job site, filling nail holes, grout or caulk touch ups, wipe down and vacuuming, finish plumbing or electric, etc.
- Assist carpenters with tasks on site as needed, including framing, setting cabinets, trim work, etc.
- Respond quickly to all warranty calls, formulate a plan for required repair, and perform repair, on the spot if able. Will require a stocked truck with various tools and supplies
- Perform management roll on small work projects, including, but not limited to, stucco remediation, small bathroom/powder room/laundry room remodels, small cabinet installs, repeat work for past clients, decks, interior millwork, window and door replacement, “honey do list” projects, minor electrical, minor plumbing, water management work, exterior trim, roofing and siding, etc
Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
- Extensive knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, safety, and applicable building codes
- Proficient at blueprint reading.
- Ability to draw appropriate sketches to communicate details to clients and others.
- Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material and labor estimates
- Able to clearly explain steps and provide clear answers regarding construction processes to clients.
- Comfortable discussing projects and budgets with clients.
- Adept at establishing relationships with all parties involved in the construction process that facilitate harmonious working relationships during project and permit prompt resolution of problems and conflicts as they occur
Requirements include, but are not limited to:
- High school graduate
- Minimum of ten years in all phases of residential construction.
- Supervisory experience.
- Previous company ownership or contracting work is a plus
