We are hiring right now! Looking for experienced burglar & fire alarm technicians. Looking for techs with CCTV experience.
Some things you need to know:
o The business is very complicated, and you’ll be expected to service a wide variety of equipment in all kinds of environments—homes, businesses, industry, and institutions.
o You’ll need to be able to work independently on the job site. You may work with another tech on some calls; in those cases, you are still required to submit complete paperwork (as if you were working alone).
o Paperwork: you’ll be expected to complete it to the satisfaction of the dispatcher and your supervisor. This is to be done while you are on the job site. Your paperwork must always be clear enough for our clients to understand. You’ll be expected to invoice on the spot and to make every attempt to collect payment.
o The service and installation dispatchers are your peers, but you will be expected to respond to them in many cases as if they are your supervisors. And since scheduling changes all the time, you’ll need to be flexible. You’re also expected to check in with the dispatcher before you leave any location.
o You’ll be expected to be on the job site by no later than 7:55 am every day no matter where the job is located. (Most sites are within an hour’s drive.) You’ll also be responsible for finding a safe and nearby parking spot, even
downtown.
o Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of your vehicle inside and out as well as service on your vehicle—both on your own time. (This is in exchange for getting a company vehicle to commute in.)
o We may require you to attend training classes (on-site, at the company offices, or remotely) on your own time.
o Responsible to sell additional equipment and services.
o Some work requires you to be on a ladder, on a roof, or other high spaces.
o You’ll be required to respond to after-hours service requests; some will be by phone and some will require an in-person, on-site visit. (The good news is how we pay for after-hours, on-site visits.)
o You will need to work with and to please both owners.

Experience in these fields is helpful: alarm technician; burglar alarm; fire alarm; access control; CCTV; video surveillance; plumbing, heating, mechanical. Experience in one of the building trade industries is strongly preferred. These include painting contractors, general or building contractors, HVAC companies.
