Universal Services Associates, Inc. (www.buildwithusa.com) is a nationally renowned exhibit fabrication firm located just outside of Philadelphia, PA. We work in the fabrication and the development of permanent exhibits for Museums, Visitor Centers, Zoos, and Aquariums. The work is very diverse and ever changing. Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking individual who possesses a positive attitude and strong work ethic. The preferred candidate must have a valid driver’s license, be willing to perform assorted tasks including shop/vehicle maintenance, cleaning, receiving orders, and help to maintain safe work areas, as well as grounds and property maintenance. The candidate must follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean workspace for all. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems and have a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities:
Loading, unloading, and driving company van or rental truck as needed
Manages workload on multiple projects seamlessly
Will utilize creative problem solving to resolve issues
Routine cleaning of shop, production areas, and restrooms
Maintenance of property inside and out (including grass mowing, weed control, trimming shrubs)
Maintains accountability for keeping the shop/offices clean and clutter free
Successfully completes projects within the allotted hours assigned to the job
Interacts and communicates well with the project leads and office admin
Adaptable to learning new skills/cross-training
Willingness to perform new tasks
Qualifications:
High School graduate and/or a certificate from a trade school or apprenticeship program
Must have valid driver’s license in good standing
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to perform light to medium maintenance tasks
Consistent attention to detail and a dedication to excellence
Ability to work well with a team and follow instructions
Experience in a fast-paced production/shop environment
Must possess a respectful disposition with all team members
Training in the operation of forklifts and scissor lifts a plus
Safety certification/knowledge a plus
General fabrication/construction background a plus
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
