Great opportunity for a Business Analyst with 1 year of experience! Open to applicants that are looking to move into a BA role as well. The Business System Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing applications, overseeing and coordinating the configuration of applications, as well as preparing and developing training materials, training staff on new applications, monitoring data quality and providing ongoing technical support to end users.

Responsibilities
  • Brings an understanding of business operational needs to the table to assist staff with visioning how to collect and report operational information in an information system.
  • Assists with the development, evaluation and recommendation of various department programs and best practices.
  • Attends relevant trainings to support knowledge of various program/business practices and business processes.
  • Provides system training and manages customization needs and requests.
  • Maintains and enhances applications as assigned.
  • Oversees and coordinates the implementation and configuration of applications.
  • Works with staff on a plan to monitor data quality.
  • Acts as an integral part of the IT project team that maintains, supports and develops software used within Client.
  • Prepares a variety of project scope and activity documents.
  • Prepares and develops training materials and trains staff on new applications.
  • Provides ongoing technical, business process and training support to end users.
  • Supports application projects in the areas of discovery and consulting, needs analysis, system design, implementation, training, support and project close out.
  • Troubleshoots technical and functional issues related to application software.
  • Develops documentation of system setup and workflow applications.

Qualifications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent problem solving ability.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships.
  • Ability to take the initiative, think analytically and work independent of supervision.
  • Excellent motivational and training skills, with the ability to train staff and develop training materials.
  • Solid, holistic understanding of Client business processes.
  • Knowledge of Client structure and culture to help build relationships with key groups.
  • The desire to be the voice of the user in communicating with management.
  • Analytical skills to respond to requested changes and identify customizations needed.
  • Experience in business analysis and knowledge of workflows.
  • Strong project management, data management and training and support skills.
  • Solid business acumen and management skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Effective time management, organization and leadership skills.

Education/Experience Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field, plus 5 years' of experience in a related field.
-OR-
Any equivalent combination of education and experience which meets the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Act 33 and 34 clearances.
