Are you ready to join our team as the new Data Management & Analytics Analyst? This role is part of the enterprise analytics team and will be accountable for delivering effective solutions to meet our customer’s needs for data analytics. This person will capture customer requirements and develop a solution that meets the needs of our technical and reference architectures in Azure and Power BI. It will also provide enterprise data management governance and tools that may include the areas of master data management, metadata and cataloguing, data quality and compliance, and data governance, including policy creation covering data access and retention. Additionally, this includes responsibility for the governance of our Power BI environment and the growth in self-service BI.

Our key activities are:

  • Give mentorship to different teams in the organization on data management architecture and framework.
  • Build and maintain detailed documentation and define standard operating procedures. Also, support development of internal dashboards and reporting for different functions across the organization.
  • Assist in leveraging the organization to be data driven and communicate/coordinate work across different areas.
  • Work and guide BI developers to build and improve data management and analytical solutions. Assist in defining the data management vision and implement strong strategies, standards, and processes.
  • Develop master data management strategies and data quality standards. Find opportunities/processes to ensure data meets the following characteristics, including but not limited to, accuracy, validity, reliability, timeliness, relevance, and completeness.
  • Promote ongoing engagement of data stewards and data domain owners within the data governance infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement a roadmap for tools and processes to successfully handle critical data across the enterprise.
  • Establish processes and governance that enable rapid data access that leads to value creation, without sacrificing appropriate access controls.
  • Drive the collection of business definitions, taxonomies, and linkage to technical lineage within the metadata tool.
  • Maintain and improve the governance processes for self-service Power BI business intelligence. Assist with data architecture components of a solution development for data integrations, semantic models, and data modelling of data stores (marts, lakes, or warehouses).

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with analytical and data visualization tools and techniques, including recent skills in Microsoft Power BI.
  • Significant experience collaborating with business users and IT technical staff.
  • Expertise with an enterprise data in warehouses/marts, master data management, dimensional data models, and data quality.
  • Solid experience performing enterprise data management activities, interpreting data policy, and conducting impact analysis for data related changes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, in written and spoken word, with customers and team members.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, detail oriented and a standout colleague!
