Title: Energy Account ManagerLocation: United States-Texas-HoustonOther Locations: United States-Louisiana-Metairie, United States-Pennsylvania-PittsburghJob Number: 1903040The position will provide direction and oversight for allassigned Energy accounts assuring that best in class services are targeted tothis customer group. In addition, the role will include technical evaluation ofnew business and existing key accounts for Energy Unit where risk and exposureidentification and hazard/control analysis is required. The position will provide and implement service planning anddirect initiatives to assure the delivery of exceptional energy specific riskengineering services.Responsibilities :
Responsible for effective servicing and surveying of Energyaccounts throughout the U.S.
Serve as an assistant subject matter expert in Energy to theTechnical Manager.
Write service and survey reports for internal review thatclearly outline identified and potential casualty exposures, controls,deficiencies and required corrective actions with suggestions for controls orother actions to reduce or eliminate identified risks or exposures.
Write external letters that communicate practical andreasonable recommendations to customers.
The timely completion of work assignments, including writtenreports and deliverables, on any and all accounts.
Provide the Underwriter or Claims Representative (asappropriate) with information about potential risks or exposures that arise asa result of a visit or review of a client account or location.
Specific
This position has no supervisory responsibility, reportingto AVP, Product and Field Support.
Estimated travel expectation is 40-60%
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree and 6 years of risk management and/orrisk engineering/loss prevention work experience within the energy sector with a professionaldesignation or 8 years of experience in risk management, loss prevention andwilling to attain a professional designation within 24 months of joining TheHartford.
Must have experience in the energy industry and a strongunderstanding of industry exposures and best practices. An understanding of commercial linesinsurance is preferred.
Must have strong consultative skills towork successfully in our service focused environment, and have effectiveoral and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and able towork independently.
Professional Safety Designation, such as; CSP, ASP,OHST, GSP, etc. is preferred.
