Job Description

Diamond Kinetics has built a powerful set of sports motion technologies and capabilities. We are seeking a strong product design lead to help us deliver those technologies through an engaging and cohesive set of product experiences. You’ll lead the definition and design of product experiences across all of our product surfaces, partnering with marketing, engineering, and commercial teams to design and bring new products and features to market.

This is a role for a creative and talented multidisciplinary designer who has a desire to shape the future of an exciting sports technology product suite. You’ll not only lead the Diamond Kinetics product design effort but will inspire and elevate the team by producing best in class digital product experiences. Your work will promote customer delight and consistent engagement with Diamond Kinetics products.

Qualifications

You can demonstrate a blend of both theoretical design expertise and applied experience designing mobile experiences for consumer facing products.

  • A compelling portfolio of work that demonstrates design skills and the ability to explain the “whys” behind certain design decisions
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with mobile development teams to ensure designs solutions are clearly defined as feasible for delivery

  • Experience both working in and designing team workflows in common design software (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, .etc - this role will be responsible for tooling selection and design process implementation)

  • 5-10 years of experience in fast-paced product development environments

  • Experience leading and mentoring a team of talented designers and creatives

  • Possess both exceptional product design skills and the ability to implement strategic and conceptual thinking

In this role you will:

  • Lead the design of simple, elegant, data-driven, user-centric experiences that delight users

  • Define user experiences, interactions, and user interfaces through user flows, information architecture, sketches and wireframes, and visual design

  • Form and maintain a set of design guidelines that promote consistency across all products and interfaces

  • Build functional prototypes to validate and test your designs

  • Participate in user research and testing

  • Apply creativity and innovation to help solve complex user problems

  • Collaborate across all stakeholders to translate strategic goals into effective product experiences

Additional Information

  • Diamond Kinetics provides a flexible work environment, but it is preferred this person reside in the Pittsburgh area so that in-person collaborative meetings can occur (when permitted based on COVID safety protocols).

    Expect to work occasional evening and weekend hours. Potential for limited travel.
