ABOUT THE ROLEOur Operation Safety Net Case Managers have in-depth knowledge and experience in the care and housing coordination of adults and families. Pittsburgh Mercy’s Operation Safety Net is an innovative, award-winning medical and social service outreach program for persons who are experiencing homelessness in Allegheny County. This Operation Safety Net Case Manager position is primarily responsible for screen, administer, and monitor the Urban Rehabilitation Authority of Pittsburgh Housing Opportunity Fund's Housing Stabilization Program 40% of the full time employee’s time. The other 60% of the employee’s time will act as support for our housing and outreach team. Time will be spent as support for our housing projects to locate housing and develop strategies to assist consumers to maintain housing. Identifying appropriate permanent housing options for consumers and assist with all steps from homelessness to lease up and mitigating landlord/tenant issues in tandem with the housing Case Managers. The Case Manager will be responsible for surveying the rental market for affordable housing and advocating for clients with prospective landlords. Consumer file upkeep and documentation in a county run data base is also required. Screen, administer, and monitor the Urban Rehabilitation Authority of Pittsburgh Housing Opportunity Fund's Housing Stabilization Program.ABOUT YOUWe’re looking for someone who is an exceptional communicator and organizer – who is capable of sharing what to expect from the system (and from the team) in a clear, concise and actionable fashion at all times. Master's degree in Human Services field with 1 year of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in Human Services with 3 years of related experience OR High School Diploma and 7 years of related experience.

Pennsylvania Driver’s License

Must have ACT 33/34/73 clearances upon hire

SCHEDULE:Primarily Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, with flexibility to meet consumer and/or program needs.
