As a(n) Software Developer Sr (AxiomSL) within PNC's ACFR organization, you will be based in any location PNC has a footprint or remote.

The Liquidity Risk Management team in Business Technology and Innovation Group at PNC is dedicated to developing innovative technology solutions to support the Asset and Liability Management team at the Bank. The Software Developer Principal will work on data intensive Applications that support business and regulatory requirements related to Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) and FR 2052a Regulatory Reporting. The role requires proficiency in designing and programming data intensive Applications on Oracle database.

3 to 5 years of experience in AxiomSL platform and configuration with Controller View with large data sets.
In-depth understanding of key AxiomSL platform concepts, design patterns and best practices
Database design and programming skills - SQL PLSQL
Data analysis and data modeling skills, preferably financial data for Liquidity Risk Management
Experience with using R in AxiomSL would be advantageous.
Working knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica
Knowledge and experience of data modeling and data warehouse concepts.
Working knowledge of software design patterns and architecture
Good working knowledge of various Banking products such as securities, wholesale funding, derivatives, swaps, deposits, lending.
Experience in Liquidity Risk and Regulations: FR 2052a, Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) would be a plus
General knowledge of Banking, Financial and US regulatory environment
Candidate with knowledge of Data Science tools and techniques, Excel Power User and experience with Python / R would be preferred.
Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Extensive experience in the analysis, definition and documentation of business and data requirements
Consults and implements analytic, monitoring and data quality tools and their solutions
Formal experience in working in projects with a methodology (waterfall, agile)

  • Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
  • Writes code, tests and deploys software.
  • Prepares technical and procedural documentation required for software.
  • Maintains and debugs software.

System Development Life Cycle - Knowledge of project management techniques and the ability to plan, design, develop, test, implement and maintain system development life cycle segments and phases.

Technical Troubleshooting - Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques, and the ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical (hardware, software, application or operational) problems.

Technical Writing/Documentation - Knowledge of the technical language and writing approach, and the ability to write paper-based and on-line technical reference documentation (guidelines, standards, procedures, processes, applications, etc.)

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience. Certifications are often desired. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
