Named after the local Fort Cherry School District, Fort Cherry Golf Club has been a fixture in the area for golf enthusiasts since 1963 originally opening under the name of Cherry Hills. Known for its scenic area and its well-maintained grounds the course provides a challenging layout for any level golfer. Located in McDonald, Pennsylvania, the course sits just twelve miles from Robinson, PA and fifteen miles from Washington, PA. Fort Cherry Golf Club is a public course offering eighteen holes plus many amenities like a driving range, practice putting green, hotel, restaurant, bar, concession stands, and banquet rooms to accommodate any size event. The Pro Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the retail store within the facility. The role involves managing inventory, staff, customer service, and sales strategies to ensure the shop operates smoothly and profitably.

Experience Required

Possess a minimum of two-three years as a Pro Shop manager or Assistant Pro Shop Manager

Ability to attract, build, train, mentor, and lead a talented/cohesive staff

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

Ordering and Stocking: Regularly order merchandise to ensure the shop is well-stocked with popular items.

Inventory Control: Track inventory levels, perform regular stock checks, and manage inventory turnover.

Product Selection: Choose and source products that appeal to the shop’s customer base, staying current with trends.

Sales and Customer Service

Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service, assist customers with product selection, and handle complaints or returns.

Sales Strategies: Develop and implement sales promotions, discounts, and special events to drive sales.

Merchandising: Ensure products are displayed attractively and effectively to maximize sales.
