Remote Election Campaigner - Philadelphia/Pittsburgh

Description:
This is the most important election of our lifetime. Pennsylvania might be the state that decides the presidential election. In addition, the balance of power in the legislature is up for grabs. We are partnering with Pennsylvania’s leading environmental group to elect environmentally responsible candidates to state and local offices. With the goal of increasing voter participation, our firm is hiring election campaigners from the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh area to contact progressive voters by phone to encourage them to sign up to vote-by-mail. Position starts immediately.
Role and Responsibilities:
Position is work-from-home, but staff must live in Pennsylvania. Shifts are available seven days a week and run from 3:00pm-8:00pm with a 15-minute paid break.
Responsibilities include:
Making phone calls to voters to remind them to sign up to vote by mail
Detailed note-taking on the results of calls
Requirements:
Passion for the environment and for increasing voter participation
Good customer service and phone skills
Attention to detail
Basic computer proficiency
Have a working computer and internet at home (up to $150/mo stipend included)
Also helpful/preferred:
Have the ability to work quietly at home
Highly organized
Leadership/management experience
Comfort and skill at communicating with voters over the phone in both English and Spanish
Compensation:
Campaigners earn $16/hour, with opportunities for bonuses and advancement. Opportunity to enroll in our company health insurance.
