Camp Bow Wow is looking for mature, responsible people who want to work with dogs. We carefully screen potential employees to ensure the continuation of excellent service while providing a safe and fun environment. Please read below carefully to get a realistic view of what's involved when working in a dog daycare facility such as ours. Please specify the location(s) in which you are interested. Job Requirements:
Prior kennel experience is not required, but genuine love and compassion for dogs is a must. We are seeking people who are mature enough to understand and accept the responsibility of caring for other people's furry "children".
Dependability is essential. If an employee does not show up, there will not be enough staff to provide a safe environment and properly care for the dogs.
Flexibility is required. Days and hours will change due to the number of dogs in house on certain days. You must be able to work some weekends and some holidays. If you work another job we will try and work with you on scheduling.
Ability to remain mentally alert and on your feet for up to 8 hours a day. While monitoring play yard you will learn the dogs' names and personalities. You must stay alert, but you will forge bonds of friendship and love with many of the dogs in our care.
Can not be afraid to get your hands dirty. Cleaning is a significant part of caring for dogs.
Organizational skills are important. You will need to be able to follow direction about important issues like which dog gets what food or medication and which dog belongs to which client.
You must not be afraid of any dog based on breed or be allergic to dogs. All our client dogs are interviewed for temperament towards humans and other dogs, so you will not be working with aggressive dogs.
Caring for dogs can provide hours of laughter and companionship. Our staff has the unique opportunity to form wonderful bonds with our furry clients and great relationships with their pet parent.
We reward our staff with competitive pay and opportunity for career growth starting between $9.00-$12.00/hour. Training provided. Free dog daycare and free dog boarding during non peak times. Up to 3 weeks paid vacation. Learning skills about how to train and interact with dogs you will be able to use for the rest of your life.
Locations we are hiring for: Greentree (710 Trumbull Dr), North Hills (2327 Babcock Blvd), Highland Park (1325 Washington Blvd), Monroeville (1610 McClure Rd)
Public transportation to the Greentree location is not convenient or reliable. You must have some other form of reliable transportation to qualify for this position.
