The Energy Technician III acts as local on-site program and company representative to residential customers. Install energy efficient equipment, conduct pre- and post-installation verification's and other technical data gathering activities through a defined territory. Support program staff and clients in their efforts to influence stakeholders, to sell and/or install energy efficiency retrofits, or new construction. Provides technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, and recommends solutions.
Job Description
1-3 years relative industry experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associates Degree w/relevant industry technical certification/training preferred
Must be BPI Certified
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct installation of residential energy efficiency upgrades
Provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications.
Provide input and status updates to program staff regarding project scope, planning and effectiveness of products Provide technical expertise to identify, analyze and resolve issues.
Travel throughout a defined territory
