Property management company is seeking a full time maintenance person who will be responsible for the maintenance of our apartment buildings (and eventually office buildings) in and around the Pittsburgh Area. Properties are located in Butler, Washington, Oakland, Bellevue, West View, Carnegie, Mt. Lebanon, Cranberry and more.
The Maintenance person will be responsible for the essential needs of residential apartments during the pandemic. According to the Pennsylvania Apartment Association, the following apartment maintenance role is currently ongoing under emergency protocol.
This is not for temporary employment. We intend to keep the person who fills this position even after the pandemic is over.
Our building in Oakland is in immediate need of an onsite person to begin the day with handling the building trash (Emptying the trash chute and taking dumpsters in or out for Sanitation company to collect) and provide maintenance to the building and then help other buildings where needed.
Typical Job Description of Daily job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Property Maintenance, Apartment Turnovers, Grounds Maintenance, Snow removal / Sidewalks, Weeding, Mulching, General landscaping. Apartment Turn Overs include Painting (lots of painting), minor plumbing (toilet repair, leaking faucets, etc) and minor electrical (changing switches/plugs), replacing vinyl floors, etc. If you are not familiar with any of the above, we have a team of maintenance already in place that are more than willing to train. Apartment work orders include stuffed toilets, leaking disposals and faucets, closet doors off the tracks, etc. General repairs and maintenance. We have vendors for major HVAC, plumbing, carpet installation, etc. that we call in for larger jobs.
Must have own transportation.
Company has Maintenance trucks and vans. Mileage will be reimbursed for work related travel.
Often Our Single family residential homes in McMurray, Bethel Park, North Versailles, Freedom, Etc. may have work orders, require a turnover or need an extra set of hands.
