Production Assistant
TAKTL® is a Pittsburgh-based designer and manufacturer of facade panels and architectural elements utilizing propriety new Architectural Ultra High-Performance Concrete (A|UHPC) formulation and automated production technology. Our products have been chosen for building envelopes in prestigious commercial and institutional projects worldwide.
We are seeking experienced production workers with 2 or more years experience who are well versed in manufacturing operations. This person must be responsible, reliable, with a good attitude and a strong work ethic who likes to be challenged. Serious applicants only.
Production Assistant

This is a Monday Friday operation with fluctuation of overtime including weekends. Shift hours will vary
with start times ranging from 6:00 am, 7:00 am and 9:00 am, and end times may vary
Starting salaries are based on years and applicability of experience, in addition to merit increases throughout
the year based on good attendance and excellent job performance

Must be able to pass a physical, drug screen and a criminal background check
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate machines to cast, smooth, level, reinforce concrete ingredients into molds and/or concrete panel
removal (pre/post casting)
Inspect and measure workpieces to mark for cuts and to verify the accuracy of cuts, using rulers, squares, or
caliper rules.
Review and study blueprints to determine equipment setup requirements, operational methods or sequences.
Set up, operate, or tend saws/drills or machines that cut concrete to specified dimensions, such as circular saws,
band saws, multiple-blade sawing machines, scroll saws, ripsaws, or crozer machines
Observe distribution of materials to adjust machine settings or material flow and indicate low spots for team
members to add/remove material.
Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
Move and lift molds, concrete panels, or other materials to and from production areas and the production line,
loading docks, delivery vehicles, by hand or using forklifts, overhead cranes, or other equipment.
Coordinate with a team of dedicated employees to keep finished materials moving through the production line
Clean and maintain facilities and work areas throughout the plant as needed and required
Qualifications and Skills
2 or more years experience of industrial related manufacturing which involved:
o Working with industrial materials to form/create/build specific products
AND/OR
o Precise cutting and/or drilling with industrial saw/drill machines
Must be able to read and understand blueprints and measurements
Strong logic and reasoning mindset to identify the strengths and weaknesses of machine operation and
manual processes
Ability to quickly detect issues or cause of errors to avoid problematic inefficiencies or production loss
Ability to communicate effectively and understand content of the English language including the meaning and
spelling of words and grammar.
Knowledge of arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, divisions and their applications;
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
Constant use of hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating
things.
The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
Considerable amount of use with your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting,
balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Standing for 8 or more hours everyday
Must be able to lift to 60 lbs.
Work Environment
The job is within an industrial environment which requires to work within various areas. The environmental conditions can be hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet, and noisy.
