3 Birds Accessibility Solutions (www.3BirdsAS.com) is a full service construction firm specializing exclusively in accessibility based home modifications.
-The job entails going into the homes of special needs, disabled, and elderly people to do assorted home modifications to makes their homes handicapped accessible. The majority of this work is centered around the bathroom. This work is very special as it allows these individuals to stay in their homes and live independent and happy lives. You can really change someone's life in a few days of work.
-We are looking to hire SKILLED contractors who are LEADERS. This means you have mastery and control of any situation on the job site. You will be largely unattended.
-You will be installing lots of new showers, toilets, and sinks, and thus your ability to move drain lines and address minor plumbing issues is ESSENTIAL. Good clean finish work also ESSENTIAL.
-$30 W2 starting out but pay can go up to $40/hour, depending on level of leadership and skill. Basically - Make my life easier, dont do stupid stuff, and you will get more money :). Most jobs are 30 mins from the city, however some are up to 2 hours away. Compensation given for travel time as well as hotel stays depending on situation. Performance bonuses available. Work will be 40 hours per week.
-Much of this work is government work which will require various background checks.
-In addition, most jobs will require a helper/laborer. Pay for that individual will range between $15-$20 an hour. It is ideal if you can provide your own however we may be able to help place you with someone if needed.
-So here is the deal: This work is not for everybody. You will be interacting with disabled and vulnerable people. I am looking for individuals who are intelligent, compassionate, well-spoken, can adapt to curve-balls on a job site without me having to be there. But also people who are funny, entertaining, and like making people smile. This is a small company so I want everyone to get along.

REQUIREMENTS:
-MUST have reliable transportation (truck or van strongly preferred)
-MUST have your own robust set of tools
-MUST have reliable smartphone with camera and ability to use apps
-MUST be able to pass a state background check and Act 34 Child Abuse Clearance. No felonies (even though I know that having a felony does not make you a bad person or a bad worker)
-MUST have experience in general contracting but also installation of shower surrounds and basic plumbing skills
