Licensed, insured plumber needed to assist homeowners with upgrading an insufficent well water treatment system to prevent, control, &/or eliminate fluctuating, high hydrogen sulfide levels & redevelopment of high coliform populations. Aeration & ozonation generators with retention tanks are being considered for purchase. Current auto Chem-Tech chlorine injection pump needs replaced with Pulsafeeder model for more precise control of corrosive substance injection ie bleach. Hydrogen sulfide odor & ozone need vented outdoors. Design & installation has been researched & developed over a year. Whole house RO unneeded. Contract involved, including the following maintenance schedule: 3-4 mos after installation an eval visit is needed to test water for recurrence of 2 intractable problems: unhealthy presence of coliforms which coat equipment & supplies ie embedded carbon, carbon filters, & UV sleeve w biofilm negating function while promoting coliform proliferation: & unhealthy, unacceptable, repugnant H2S smell, estimated to be as high as 20ppm, due to environmental factors ie drought, excess rain, nearby fracking etc. After the 1st, post-install eval, the installer must insert into their schedule a maintenance visit every 6 mos to change filters (6 mo & annual), check all equipment function by conducting a field water test, change media when necessary, check for clogs from sloped salt from the hypochlorite solution injected etc. Plumber must be available for urgent or 911 problems. Contract needs to be transferrable to possible, future new home owners upon request. References & proof of licensure and insurance required. Pickup for hauling equipment & supplies is a plus. This is a very important job requiring someone with years of well water treatment experience, integrity, reliability, & willingness to make an "upfront" commitment to a longterm professional relationship. Most plumbers will only service what they sell & install, so we will be dependent upon the honesty & durability of this professional relationship. Hourly compensation preferred & negotiated based on many factors, over presentation of a guesstimated bid. Reimbursement via check when requested.
