This posting is for a position at Mountain Creek Riding Stable/The Ranch at Pocono Manor for a trail guide. Horse experience preferred, but not necessary as we will train. Looking for a year-round person, willing to hire part time.
If you enjoy working with animals and have good customer service skills this job may be the one for you! This is a physical job with lots of bending, lifting, twisting, and we ride every day regardless of the weather so keep that in mind.
Trail guides are responsible for the following duties:
Feeding horses twice a day, both hay and grain
Grooming and saddling horses
Treating horses with everyday medical issues/injuries that do not require veterinary care
Cleaning the stables and maintaining a clean living environment for the horses
Riding with our customers on their rides to assist them and help them enjoy a safe and pleasant ride
Providing pony rides for children too small to participate in trail rides
