Job Description: Assistant Project Manager

Who we are:
New Jersey Boom & Erectors, Inc has recently celebrated 20 years in business. We are a rapidly growing structural steel fabrication and installation subcontractor seeking an Assistant Project Manager to take this open role by the reins, and hit the ground running.
What we are seeking:
An assistant project manager who will work closely with the project management team to process and assist with the execution and organization of all project information including but not limited to:
Assist project manager in all phases and aspects of the projects you are assigned to
Provide support to field staff
Coordination of all project drawings
Ensure that proper tools, materials, and equipment are in place prior to project start date
Preparing with a full understanding of the project scope of work
Work to obtain all necessary permits as requested by the project manager
Complete vendor evaluations/comparisons, scope review, and complete purchase orders to awarded vendors.
Develop a project submittal log and obtain approvals
Manage said submittal log and ensure all submittals are processed promptly
Coordination of projects field measurements for fabrication purposes
Handling all equipment rentals and call off's
Processing and following up on all change order requests & any applicable credits
Monitoring of project schedules to align with project managers directions and companies expectations
Superior inter/intra personal communication skills
Draft, submit, and track all RFI's and distribute to all team members as appropriate
Pursue and monitor submittals and track deliveries of material
Collect architectural changes for review by the project manager
Complete material lists as directed by the project manager, and estimating department
Complete all required close-out documents
Maintain client relationships at the appropriate level reinforcing the company's commitment to continuously addressing their needs and interests.
Work collaboratively with outside parties to accomplish general contractors goals.
Demonstrate effective relationship build within the project team and throughout the company, keeping project manager informed and active in decision making
Promote positive relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all general contractors and vendors instilling this philosophy in project team at all times.
Leverages own strengths and demonstrates understanding of weakness in order to most effectively contribute to a project.
