Volt has an opening for an ENG Engineering Drafter for one of our Fortune 500 Client in Pennsylvania 19468.Job Description Summary
Prepares layouts from which working drawings can be made based on designs and/or specifications received. Prepares and coordinates layout drawings, assemblies and details with bills of materials required for purchasing and/or fabrication.
Prepares scale layouts, assemblies, and details based on designs and/or specifications, utilizing a CAD system (Computer Aided Design). Provides accurate dimensions to define appropriate views of products
Obtains and communicates information relevant to manufacturing work orders, purchase requisitions, and other information. Utilizes internal/external resources to meet quality, costs, and schedule of assignment.
Gathers and compiles necessary information to generate scale layouts. Works with manufacturing personnel, designers and/or engineers regarding design specifications and prototype design.
Incorporates purchased and fabricated components into scale layouts. Completes documentation packages on assignments and tracks product being manufactured.
Assembles and maintains documentation to include job sheets, drawings and other necessary information to support production.
The job also requires performing other duties as assigned.
Position is a support role requiring more work direction whereby employee follows generally defined procedures and may perform a variety of general manual labor tasks including, but not limited to: heavy lifting and moving of materials, and other activities in a helping or assisting mode. May involve heavy lifting of 30 pounds or more.
Basic Qualifications:
Eighteen months or more of trade or technical school, an Associate's degree in Mechanical Design Technology or completion of equivalent job skills training is required to apply knowledge of layout drafting skills, CAD skills and methods taught in a craft or vocational-technical area.Please note the following:This is a W2 position.Direct inquiries only.No 3rd party submittals please.This position is not available for Corp-to-Corp.This position is not available for Associate Vendors.In todays job market, "who you know" matters more than ever - and that is why you should get to know Volt.
