GEOTECHNICAL SPECIALIST IN READING, PA AREA WITH ADVANTAGE ENGINEERS

What the Responsibilities Are:
Advantage Engineers (Advantage) has an excellent career opportunity for someone who is interested in the construction and environmental field. This position will observe the contractor's progress in the production of each portion of the work as described in the plans and specifications and prepare a daily report for the work on the forms provided for the project, including: the nature and quality of the work as detailed in the plans and specifications, the amount of work produced, and the location of the work produced as it relates to the plans. This role will conduct density testing of engineered fill, and review foundation and building pad subgrade, backfilling for utilities, and retaining wall installation. The Specialist will also gather information/data as requested in the preparation of proposals, expressions of interest, and contracts and be involved with highway and roadway improvements. Strong customer service, written and oral communication skills, and problem-solving skills are required. Knowledge of basic mathematical calculations and Microsoft Office is also essential. This job will be filled as an entry level position. Requires a minimum of a High School diploma.

Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to life 60-80 pounds on a recurring basis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Basic competency in mathematical calculations.
Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office.
The ability to multitask and work effectively under limited supervision.
Highly professional demeanor for interaction with all stakeholders.
Ability to speak fluent English.
Strong organizational skills.
Must have reliable transportation and being willing to travel to sites/work remotely.
Must be able and comfortable to work outdoors, in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
Must be able to work in a geotechnical lab setting, performing required materials testing.
