Sheet metal fabrication shop is seeking an Assembler to put together metal products partially or completely based on customer drawings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints
2. Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, clips, rivets or other fasteners
3. Removes small quantities of metal with hand files or scrapers to produce close fit between parts
4. Operates drills, grinders, drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation
5. Basic electrical wiring as required
6. Cleans, repairs any blemishes from assembly process and prepares assemblies for QC
Requirements:
1. Candidate must have good mechanical skills
2. Must be detail oriented
3. Ability to read assembly prints and procedures
4. Able to work with minimal supervision
5. Ability to lift 70 pounds
6. Welding experience a plus
