Handyman - Carpenter – Sinking Spring, Pa
Primary Duties
Perform a broad range of maintenance repairs/tasks in residential rental homes and apartments
Basic (required) to intermediate (preferred) knowledge of plumbing
Basic (required) to intermediate (preferred) knowledge of electrical systems/repairs
Basic HVAC knowledge preferred
Troubleshoot appliance problems with tenants/homeowners
Ability to strip, prep, and paint walls/ceilings/basements with pride in craftsmanship
framing of walls and decks as needed
Work with concrete as needed to pour a footing or repair/patch concrete
Adjust kitchen cabinets and trim, or hardware as needed, change hands of appliances, using carpenter's hand and power tools
Finish surfaces of woodwork or wallboard in houses and buildings, using paint, spackle, hand tools
Be comfortable entering homes/apartments that are occupied while being courteous and a good ambassador of the company
Ensure OSHA, safety and environmental regulation compliance
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
· General Education – High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of construction/maintenance experience required
· Valid driver’s license and smart phone required
· Ability to communicate responsibly in a team environment
· Works extremely well with others, at all levels of the company, to achieve team goals while also being able to run a job independently from start to finish without supervision
· Maintain positive relationships through courteous and respectful action
