Job Description
We are looking to add a skilled carpenter with a home remodeling background and solid industry experience of 3 + years. One must also be able to provide a high level of customer service and be responsive to the requests, uniqueness, and varying expectations of each specific customer. No job is the same when working in or on other peoples homes so the ability to adapt to varying situations and ever changing jobsites is crucial to be successful at Colorful Remedies. Colorful Remedies carpenters must have physical stamina and strong work ethic due to the physical nature of the work we do. Colorful Remedies carpenters must also have an understanding of building standards, code requirements, equipment, safety precautions, and basic knowledge of the wide variety of materials and applications used daily. An understanding of finishes and how the end result of a project should look is crucial for the wide variety of services we offer. Organization and quality communication are also vital components of the position. An understanding of architectural and design plans is also important as well as the ability to read a job description and accomplish work outlined. Services we offer and the basic skillset necessary to be successful are outlined below:
-Woodworking: Baseboards, casing, door, crown moulding, wainscoting, coffered ceiling, custom built-ins, etc
-Demolition: Ability to do removal and tear out to prep for remodeling work
-Tile work: Bathrooms, showers, floors, backsplash
-Kitchen and Bathrooms: Full remodeling and cabinetry Installation
-Framing: Basements, Structural work, additions, open space concepts
-Deck and Porches: Knowledge of exterior applications, fastening methods, weather proofing, structural support, footer preparation
-Windows and Doors: Removal, replacement, and overall weather tight process
-Sub-Contractor Coordination: Understanding of subs scope of work and what needs to be prepped for varying sub-contractors
Requirements
-Must have a PA drivers license and transportation to and from work
-Must be able to get to Chester County and surrounding areas daily based on location of jobsite
-Must have basic hand tools
-Must provide 2 references
-Must be able to work 40 hrs a week
-Must have smartphone with access to e-mail and Apps
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $37,000.00 to $62,000.00 /year based on experience
