Residential Property Inspector: Looking for contractors to conduct field surveys of residential properties. Prefer persons with housing inspections, construction, architecture, drafting or related occupations. Training is provided for those with relevant skill set. ISAPE provides underwriting data and analysis for our customers which enables them to accurately assess the risk of insuring residential and commercial properties. ISAPE provides a broad array of inspections services as well as quality assurance surveys for the Insurance industry, Banks and other industries requiring inspection services.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Property Inspectors who are motivated individuals to collect on-site property data for insurance companies. Property Inspector will conduct exterior surveys of residential properties collecting information pertaining to the size, style, and condition of the home. Evaluate homes by measuring, calculating & making precise observations. Property Inspectors assignments are given on a daily basis. This is a contract position and Property Inspector will be paid per inspection.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct on-site evaluations of residential homes
Identify architectural styles and materials used in residential construction
Measure properties, create an exterior floor plan (footprint) & calculate square footage
Identify maintenance concerns and liability hazards (if any)
Upload results daily to ISAPE Database system
QUALIFICATIONS:
6-months -2 years' experience preferred in housing inspections, construction, architecture, drafting or related occupations
Applicable math/geometry skills for drafting and home measurement
Must have a reliable vehicle less than 7 years old with good driving record
Willingness to travel and work in all elements
Able to complete tasks and assignments without any daily supervision.
Productivity driven and self-starter with good work ethic
Good Interpersonal communications skills
Basic to moderate computer skills
Must have Digital camera and experience manipulating digital data. (Cell phone pictures if top quality)
Must have updated computer with printer and high-speed internet services
Experience in construction or home improvement, architecture etc preferred but not a requirement. We are willing to train the right person.
