The Health Safety and Environmental group (HSE) is responsible for implementing programs and policies that comply with all local, state, federal and Sanofi Corporate HSE rules and regulations as well as continuously striving to reduce the incidence and severity of occupational injury and illness. This position will support the development of the Swiftwater Site’s HSE culture and HSE management systems to improve overall compliance. The position will be responsible for the maintenance, organization and management of the site’s Health, Safety, and Environment Management System (HSEMS) that is based on Sanofi Corporate standards, local, state and federal regulation, as well as ISO14001. This position will manage all HSE documents, records, department specific software and files related to the HSE Management System. This position is also responsible for coordinating compliance and regulatory audits as well as internal audits and inspections (ISO 14001, Sanofi HSE Corporate Standards Audit, Third Party Audits and Inspections, PA DEP/EPA, Factory Mutual Global Insurance Assessment, etc…).Education/Experience:2-5 years industrial experience. Pharmaceutical or quality systems a plus. Understanding of performance monitoring and the use of metrics. Experience in risk assessment process and audits.Degrees: Minimum BA/BS safety, quality, business administration, business management or related field such as equivalent in safety management, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
Knowledge of HSE regulatory requirements required.
Managing by influence and strong communication skills (Written, verbal and presentations)
Proven abiliy to work transversally.
Detailed knowledge of the vaccines business desired.
Detailed working knowledge of IS Systems including but not limited to: Isotrain, Trackwise, eDoc/Geode+, SharePoint
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and other IS systems required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the needs of the business.
Physical ability to don and dof gowning is requireed to gain entry into manufacturing space.
