Job Description

The Administrative Assistant/Placement Specialist is responsible for assisting the School Manager and other applicable management personnel with student placementand administrative duties as assigned. Duties include,but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for functioning as a direct liaison between the student/graduate and the employer for the purpose of providing successful job placement assistance
  • Scheduling and hosting industry recruiters as approved by the company.
  • Responsible for supporting the admissions team by assisting in scheduling prospective student seminars and job fairs, providing industry employer hiring qualifications, assisting in qualifying prospective students.
  • Responsible for assisting the School Manager in organizing and providing employer participation in all school job fairs and outside hiring seminars.
  • Responsible for assisting students in completing job applications.
  • Complying with all applicable placement policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and track all submitted employment applications.
  • Explaining proper interview techniques to ensure the student understands what companies are looking for and how to best express themselves.
  • Perform duties with honesty, objectivity, truthfulness, integrity and high ethical standards.
  • Regular, reliable and predictable work attendance is an essential job function of this position.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years verifiable office administrative experience, experience with job placement or recruiting preferred, but not required
  • Ability to effectively communicate with applicants, students and company personnel regarding student placementoptions
  • After training, must possess the ability to read and understand placement documentswith the ability to convey to both students and company personnel
  • Must be able to demonstrate understanding ofplacement processafter training
  • Must have an energetic and positive personality with the capability to work and adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
  • After training, must possess the ability to review consumer background reports including criminal background reportsand motor vehicle reports
