The SEO analyst contributes to rue21’s results by leading the SEO roadmap. They will work cross functionally to develop the strategy, work independently and influence others to implement. They will need to stay on top of trends and changes that rue will need to address to stay on top. Success for this role will be based on rankings, traffic and conversion and relevant site performance.
Develop, maintain content strategy and recommendations aligned with SEO best practices.
Based on data driven content performance and SERP visibility
Work with the content and product teams to ensure market projects and campaigns are optimized to support SEO.
Utilize proprietary and third-party tools to Research and analyzes performance, competition, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement. As well as regularly pulling ad hoc data reports as groundwork for analysis.
Assess impact of major content initiatives and technological developments such as content migration and content gap analysis. Providing key insights on business performance.
Influences others through technical explanations and examples
Conduct internal audits including schema.org compatibility, XML sitemaps, metadata, crawl errors, redirect strategies,
Grow overall organic search visibility for rue21, driving productive incremental organic traffic, site conversions and sales.
Stay informed of industry trends and changes in search landscape and communicating to team members.
Commit to supporting rue21’s vision, mission, and values of an inclusive environment and sets an example for their team or sphere of influence.
Expert in SEO best practices
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Experience with Analytics software: Google Analytics, Google Search Console, ContentSquare,
Experience with Competitor Research, Site Health, and Ranking Intelligence tools such as Pagespeed Insights, BrightEdge, Google Ads.
Comfortable and able to develop a project independently once goals are set.
An upbeat, team-oriented attitude with enthusiasm to learn and adapt to a new environment.
Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in the digital industry
2-4 years in SEO environment; agency, client side, site development, etc.
Strong understanding of internet marketing, including relationships between other (non-SEO) online channels.
Prior analytics and data analysis exposure
Highly organized & data driven.

Front end development
In House / Ecommerce site SEO experience strongly preferred
