Work Hours: We have 3 shifts available 7am-3pm; 2pm-10pm or 10pm-8am

Work Schedule for Full Time is 5 days per week-includes weekend rotation (40 hours per week)

Work Schedule for Part Time-every other weekend (16 hours every 2 weeks) You can pick up additional shifts

Educational Requirements: At least a High School Diploma

Experience Required: work within a childcare or caregiver role strongly preferred

NEW Hour rates $18.00-$23.05

Must be at least 21 years of age

Must have a valid Driver’s License

These programs are located in West Chester, PA and offers unique psychosocial programming for children/adolescents who have an autism intellectual, developmental and/or mental health disorders who have particularly challenging behaviors and have not responded to traditional mental health services due to cognitive limitations or medical complexities. In this role you will:Provide supervision and a safe environment to children/adolescents assigned to you during your shift

Assist children/adolescents with bathing, dressing, eating and participating in activities/social events

Provide behavior intervention, follow approved behavior plans and implement positive praise and direction

De-escalate unsafe or inappropriate behaviors or responses

Support and coach life skills and educational goals and activities

Document progress and daily responses to intervention in medical records

New hires will receive a sign on bonus of up to $1,000 which will be paid out over their first 6 months of employment.FT -$350 upon hire + $350 at the completion of 90 days + $300 at the completion of 180 daysPT -$150 upon hire + $150 at the completion of 90 days + $200 at the completion of 180 daysDevereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services (DPACS) center serves children, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges and disorders. Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), residential treatment (RTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives. A primary focus throughout the program is the philosophy of Program-Wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PW-PBIS), a program-wide system of care that promotes and rewards positive behaviors, and prevents negative behaviors, to create safe, supportive living environments. Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches.Work Environment: Regularly works inside areas that are adequately lighted and ventilated. Some fluctuations in temperature.
