Manage Tarp and secure product loaded on flatbed trailers for shipment.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1- Give oral and written orders and enforce the Standards and Procedures for each.
2- Know and understand how to place and secure poly and tarps on flatbed trailers as required over the loads.
3- Know and understand how to secure the loaded product on the trailer, placing straps across the top of the load, securing straps along the bottom edge of one side of the trailer, and tightening the strap on the other side using a bar and arm strength.
4-Observes and enforces all safety policies and wears the required Personal Protective Equipment at all time.
5- Enforces a clean and orderly work environment.
6- Employees work inside and outside. In case of snow employees remove the snow by shoveling the trailers.
7- Works well with others.
Shuttle/Jockey driver positions involve jockeying or shuttling fifty three foot empty or loaded flatbed trailers.
Shuttle /Jockeys work on site and are responsible for backing trailers into the plant for loading and then pulling them back out afterwards. Trucks have lifting/hydraulic fifth wheels.
All applicants must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Weekend work and Overtime mandatory if needed.
Weekly pay on Fridays. Direct deposit available.
Experienced CDL-A Operators preferred
