Company Description: We're a family owned operation in Milton, in business for over 30 years. We specialize in flooring and remodeling, but do a little of everything. As independent general contractors, we take 'contracts' to fulfill from other companies. For example, a local flooring store sells tile to a family, and the store sends us in to install their tile.
Pay: Hourly, based on experience and the individual contract for the day: $10 starting minimum.
Hours: Varies daily based on availability. Flexibility required. Expect 20 hrs weekly average, initially. May includes weekends, may include nights.
Job Duties: You will act as the assistant to our head contractor, possibly with another partner. You will be performing regular bending, lifting, and moving supplies (up to 50+ lbs), doing cleaning, prep-work,and other common construction-related activities such as grouting, painting, and so on. This position will require one to lay flooring or tile competently, and may eventually require use of saws.
Requirements: General competency and a strong work ethic. No illegal drug use or work-interfering alcohol abuse - must be willing to take drug test. Driver's license and personal transportation required to Milton. From our Milton location, in most cases you will be carpooled to the job site for the day. At least some experience with tools doing hands-on work required.
