Cumberland Truck Equipment Co. (CTE), one of the largest privately-held distributors of heavy-duty truck parts in the mid-Atlantic region, has an immediate opening at our Milton Branch, 985 Carpenter Road, for a full time Parts Counter Person, 1st shift, Monday-Friday with an occasional Saturday. Pay commensurate with experience.
Requirements
Knowledge of truck parts, tools, fasteners and industrial supplies preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred and/or industry equivalent experience
Good communication skills
Friendly and courteous
Able to lift unassisted up to 75 pounds, over 75 pounds assisted
Able to read, write and speak English
Job Responsibilities
Assist walk-in and telephone customers in a friendly and helpful manner with required parts. Suggest companion requirements
Pull purchases from stock
Accurately check in product and process branch cores and warranties
Stock display shelves
Maintain and clean counter area and equipment
Assist with the loading of delivery trucks if needed
Tag customer returns and cores
Notify management of returns and/or cores
Inform manager of customer complaints
Grind flywheels
Build hose assemblies, cables, chains, etc.
Perform housekeeping duties such as cleaning and straightening of stock items on shelves
