Searching for a Staff/Senior level Tax Accountant with a vision to be part of something BIG! We are targeting a Tax professional with 2-4 years of experience in either a public accounting or corporate setting to join an established corporate tax department. The ideal person for this role will be someone who yearns for growth and exposure.
Although no day will be exactly the same, you will be responsible for most of the following depending on your experience.
Prepare federal, state and local income tax returns, including collecting and analyzing financial data.
Estimate and track tax returns.
Complete quarterly and annual tax reports.
Analyze general ledger tax accounts to ensure complete reporting.
Prepare and reconcile state apportionment data
Organize and update the companys tax database.
Prepare fixed asset reconciliations and review tax depreciation reports.
Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals.
Prepare necessary paperwork for tax payments and returns.
Share financial data with the accounting department.
Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits.
Follow industry and Conduct tax research and assist with special projects as necessary.
Requirements:
2-4+ years of experience in tax corporate tax accounting and compliance; corporate tax department and public accounting firm experience highly preferred.
Previous experience with tax provision software preferred
Income Tax experience also preferred.
Ability to solve complex problems
Highly adaptable to change and comfortable with ambiguity
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to roll up sleeves and dig-in to understand the business and systems
High attention to detail and documentation skills
