Handel’s Ice Cream in York, PA is looking for a mature, responsible, enthusiastic individual with food-related passions to help us produce and sell our premium homemade ice cream.
Hours/Pay
This is a year-round, part-time hourly position (avg. 2-3 days a week) with compensation depending on experience. This position is primarily Saturday and Sunday daytime (hours are flexible). There is also the possibility of one evening through the week of evening shift manager. There is also the option for additional hours if you so desire.
Practical Job Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to communicate clearly and work well with other people.
Own method of dependable transportation
Someone with a positive attitude who is responsible, honest, dependable, and hardworking.
Ability to work 6-8 hours on your feet in a fast-paced, exciting environment.
Ability to lift 25-30 lbs.
Ability to multi-task and work independently.
Management experience preferred but not required.
Pleasant, cheerful attitude when serving customers.
Areas of Responsibility
Making Ice Cream by following recipes and learning the procedures involved in making our products.
Dishwashing, clean-up, and maintaining the highest standards of kitchen organization and cleanliness.
Maintaining clear communications with general manager, other ice cream makers and scoopers.
Serving customers at our window when Scoopers are not on shift. This will primarily be during the day when school is in session.
Supervise and give general guidance to Scoopers on shift.
