Manufacturing Engineer
York, PA
Develop and document process plans for manufacturing components for commercial furniture
Collaborate with product designers, plant manager, machine operators, and other departments to ensure the best processes are developed
Compile data around production, labor & material costs
Study new technology, equipment, and approaches and make recommendations to improve our processes
Participate in all Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Ensure product quality by designing testing methods
Blockhouse Furniture is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. Our furniture is designed for uses such as college dorm rooms, hospitals, waiting areas, prisons, and psychiatric facilities. The quality and safety of our products are of the utmost importance to our customers. Our Manufacturing Engineer will be a high energy contributor who takes the initiative to ensure that our manufactured parts are world class and that our manufacturing processes are both effective and continuously improved.

Active: Able to spend time on the plant floor, observing, organizing time studies, leading Kaizen events, and collaborating with the manufacturing team.
Computer Savvy: Able to research products, Experience with Solidworks. Fluent in Excel to create charts, graphs & data analysis.
