IRG is seeking a Grants Management Systems Project Manager for its client at Cranston, RI.
Role: Grants Management Systems Senior Project Manager
Location: Cranston/ Providence , RI
Duration: 1 year
May start off remote but required to be onsite as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Project management expertise in the deployment of a SaaS / COTS applications.
  • Grants Management Systems implementation experience a plus, but not required.
  • Senior project management experience in all phases and processes of the project life cycle from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control and close.
  • Create and maintain a robust and inclusive project plan while actively managing relevant work streams of the project throughout each phase.
  • Manage project scope, schedule and budget deliverables and provide project (phase/timeline/budget) reporting to IT and Agency/Business Leadership, as needed.
  • Lead the implementation phase in conjunction with systems integrator & software vendor partners and stake holders from State (SMEs, program management etc.)
  • Oversee the planning, discovery (requirements), design, configuration, testing, and training activities (e.g. content creation and review is being executed, training sessions appropriately staffed and executed, etc.)
  • Function as a Business Analyst in situations requiring a Liaison between Agency, IT, and Vendor resources to communicate requirements and ensure delivery and compliance.
  • Establish and manage a RAID log (risks, actions, issues, decisions) throughout the entire program.
  • Participate in the creation of weekly project and budget status reports and governance team presentations as required.
  • Define and manage the communications and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings to highlight project health, accomplishments, upcoming activities, and updates to RAID log.
  • Ensure Change Management occurs in a strategic manner throughout the project providing thought leadership based on experience and expertise.
  • Manage stakeholder engagement throughout the project and transition to operations at close
  • Lead the post-implementation phase including coordinating resources and providing direct assistance with troubleshooting of production support issues, deployment/cutover, period close activities and system/business process optimization, identification of additional training opportunities / content delivery mechanisms, as required.
  • Clarify and resolve issues and lead conflict resolution in a timely manner
  • Lead through experience around standard practices around a program.
  • Help establish a 'super user' network of business SMEs who can continue to support the system and associated processes during the implementation phase as we near phased go-live events and throughout the post-implementation phase.
Minimum Requirements
  • 10-15 years of experience with multiple previous large Grants Management Systems implementations from a variety of system integrators / software vendors in the public sector is preferred
  • eCIVIS Implementation experience
  • Highly competent individual who can think both strategically and tactically in numerous situations and is capable of toggling between the two seamlessly.
  • Exceptional communication skills (e.g. verbal, written, presentation) and time management skills (e.g. ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines.)
  • Must possess high level of emotional intelligence (EQ.)
