Job Summary:The Virginia / Ohio Replacement Business Area is seeking an Engineering Technician II in its Middletown, RI location to support the Weapons Analysis Facility at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center. The successful candidate would be expected to:

Manufacture and assemble weapon hardware cables which interface to simulation hardware

Prototype and assemble custom weapon chassis hardware/circuit boards

Perform some circuit board soldering, through-hole and surface mount technology

Perform electronic workbench testing on basic hardware assemblies using tools such as oscilloscope and multimeters, DC power supplies, breakout-boxes

Record and document drawings schematics and diagrams of hardware assemblies

Design and document using software programs include AutoCAD, Solidworks, OrCAD, Express PCB, Microsoft Excel, Word

No travel is anticipated for this position. Teleworking is authorized, but 80% of the work will take place at customer site.Education and Qualifications:

A Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

5+ years of relevant experience is required.

Ideal candidates will be certified for MIL standard soldering, and have experience using printed circuit board design software and COTS logistics/ordering.

Candidates must be a US Citizen. The position will require obtaining and maintaining a DOD Secret security clearance.
