Job Description

Looking for an individual with either pre-existing account management experience or an individual who has the right set of skills to transition in to an account manager with assisted training and through osmosis.

National Maintenance Systems is a recognized leader in outsourced exterior facilities maintenance services. Our consolidated facility maintenance program makes us a single point of contact for a variety of services for hundreds of client sites nationwide. We design our programs to greatly reduce our customer's internal resources so that they can focus on core organizational goals and initiatives. NMS combines 25+ years of hands on experience along with a nationwide network of select vendors which allows us to provide a broad range of exterior maintenance services to our clients. Due to our rapid growth, we currently have openings for qualified candidates.

We provide exterior maintenance services likes snow plowing, landscaping, parking lot sweeping, lot and pavement work on a national level, and we are looking for someone to fill the role by being the glue between clients, vendors, and outstanding services. This is done through meeting client expectations, vendor management, and quality control.

Position Summary for Account Manager's: The key role of our Account Managers is to manage relationships with specific customers and vendors within our organization. They ensure customer properties are maintained properly and are safe for our client's employees and customers by properly managing vendors and their contracted responsibilities like Snow Removal, Landscaping, Sweeping of parking lots, and etc. Account Managers must manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, other employees and supervisors while managing different aspects of the account like tracking and follow up to vendor's contracted compliance, collection of invoices to submit to Accounting to be billed, retention calls to stores, and other duties

Availability:You must have an open schedule between our busiest times of year (November-April) in order to cover rotating shifts during snow storms. We typically work mon-fri 9am to 5pm, however if we have a storm that lasts a few days we will rotate shifts to cover length of storm, it is expected you accept your shift and do so, If a storm falls on a Saturday or Sunday we add schedules to cover the weekend and overtime is extremely likely during storms. Due to the importance of providing emergency services during winter, and preserving the relationship built with our clients and vendors, if you have obligations that could interfere with these expectations DO NOT APPLY

Responsibilities & Duties: Utilize proactive account management strategies to retain existing clients by building professional relationships with them. Align with key client executives to identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand accounts through additional services and deliverables by up-selling and cross-selling. Effectively negotiate ongoing contractual agreements. Manage administrative functions such as reporting, invoicing, tracking, etc. Effectively transition new client relationships from the Sales process to the Implementation and Account Launch process. Continuously build knowledge of current industry trends, competitive information, and industry/technical knowledge. Take preventative measures to ensure that all accounts are functioning smoothly and that each customer site is being maintained properly. Proactively detect & correct account concerns and decide on the best method of corrective action. Monitor weather and proactively plan with vendors to ensure appropriate services are planned & engaged.

Requirements:

Must be able to utilize excel (data input, sort, filter, ) we use It all day every day & will provide a test to see how comfortable candidate is with the program.

Word (typing, cut and paste), ability to save as a PDF as well

Detail-Oriented (not lazy, use available resources, common sense, & double check your work)

Multi-Task (answer phone, type on computer, make funny faces to your neighbor)

Self-Motivated (take initiative when idle)

Organized (manage outlook and google mail emails, paperwork, timelines)

Ability to go from moderate work pace to fast and high stress level

Ability to cover any shift during snow storms (we become 24 hrs during storms and will work work weekends)

Ability to get to work during snow storms (4 wheel drive vehicle)
