Our Tax and Finance Operate (TFO) practice assist companies in exploring alternative sourcing models that span the continuum from discrete services to outsourcing. The TFO platform of processes, leading edge technology and people helps our clients define the right sourcing mix. The TFO practice will enable you to help clients reduce inefficiencies, mitigate risk and drive process improvement within their tax and finance functions. We believe that by managing clients’ tax function we can make a critical difference and you’ll be at the heart of this mission.The opportunityEY is currently seeking high-potential Senior Managers to deliver exceptional client service and enable the continued growth of our TFO practice. The opportunity specifically is to assist our clients and internal teams in the design, execution and project management of transition plans for these transformational engagements. Our market-leading approach combines extensive functional outsourcing experience with local tax and accounting experience. We use a standard methodology providing clients with an integrated service that unlocks the full potential of the tax function across the entire tax lifecycle.You can expect to gain a unique insight into our business and participate in the development of a new cutting-edge area of the tax practice. As part of our TFO team you will gain cross-industry experience working with senior leadership teams in both domestic and large multi-national companies. You will combine your tax and finance capabilities with program and change management expertise to implement and embed improvements and deliver sustainable value.TFO assists in the design, implementation and operation of global tax function operating models and processes. Our capabilities include implementation of centrally managed global outsourcing/co-sourcing models that provide clients with greater control and visibility over tax function activities, access to global team members with expertise (tax, finance, payroll, corporate secretarial, tax technology and data analytics), and development of new operating models driven by client triggers for change.Key responsibilitiesYour role as a Senior Manager will focus on establishing relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels while working to consistently deliver exceptional client service. Additionally, you will be tasked with the following:Responsible for end-to-end technology and tax data management team with workstream leads (Global Process Controllers) and operational leads – Enterprise Solution Architect (ESA), Transition Management Office (TMO), Service Management Office (SMO), Commercial Management Office (CMO) and Technology & Data Operations (TDO).
Leads the development of technology and data strategy, architecture design, scoping and costing during the pursuit and contracting stage leveraging TFO standard technology.
Leads client technology and data demonstration and proposal value proposition.
Accountable for the implementation of operational and functional TFO standard technology and developing custom technology teaming with TDO, TMO and GPCs.
Provides ongoing technology and data support for the delivery of TFO services.
Leads ongoing transformation efforts to improve quality, improve margin and adopt the latest standard TFO standard technology, including the required ROI analysis.
Builds strong relationships across all client IT and system stakeholders and the EY Global Process Controllers and Operational leaders
To qualify for the role, you must haveBachelor’s degree in related field, preferably with an emphasis in accounting or finance (graduate degree in Accounting preferred)
Minimum of 10 years work experience in an accounting, financial analysis, or financial services environment
Valid US certified public accountant (CPA) license or active state bar membership or progress toward certification.
Strong team and project management skills with an ability to work under tight deadlines
Strong people development skills
Flexibility and willingness to travel as well as work in excess of standard hours as necessary
A natural aptitude for learning, problem solving and an entrepreneurial approach to work
Strong analytical, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills as well as a strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to capture and synthesize business requirements
Previous work in current state/future state transformation (transition) preferred
