GENERAL SUMMARY

Do you have passion for creating great user experiences and quality products? Dell EMC is looking for Software Engineer to join our highly energetic team creating world class products using cutting edge technologies in Cyber Security area. One should understand company goals, practices and product strategies and applies them when resolving a variety of problems. Uses judgment and creativity and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions. Assignments may include new products as well as upgrades and enhancements, or fixes to existing products.

Job Description General Summary

Responsible for the design, development, testing, document, and analysis of modules or features of new or existing products. Resourceful, a multi-tasker, self-starter for a high paced team environment. Passionate about delivering thoroughly tested, high quality products. Solid understanding of engineering development, test and agile processes Knowledge about the roles and responsibilities required to successfully implement a technology. Passionate about understanding how technology supports and automates business processes, likes to solve problems, and collaborate with others.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, implement and test GUI application using HTML5/CSS3, Angular and Web 2.0 technologies
• Work closely with other development teams, QA and customer support
• Exercise considerable latitude and independence in determining technical objectives
• Collaborate well with other engineers and other engineering groups, voluntarily share information.
• Significant contributor to organizational goals and objectives.
• Interact across functionally on matters that require coordination across organization

SKILLS

• Possesses a Strong Experience with JavaScript frameworks (i.e. Angular, jQuery, Node.js)
• Strong GUI web client (browser) design and implementation experience with HTML5, CSS/SASS and Java
• Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge
• Passionate about User Experience
• Problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to analyze information and draw accurate conclusions
• Time management skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other related field with 6+ years total experience
• Strong GUI web client (browser) design and implementation experience with Angular JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and Java
• Design and development experience with Web Services (REST, SOAP etc.)
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows
• Experience working in an Agile development team
• Solid debugging skills
• Detail oriented
• Effective in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent understanding of software engineering and test methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired skills

• Storage system technology experience
• Replication and backup technology experience
• Security principles
